The power...of a power cord

I guess the power of a power cord sure has been brought to light recently.
But, if you think about it, what if you bought a radio, let's say from AES and
you've anxiously waited for UPS to deliver your radio, you've taken it out of
the box, set it all up...no power cord. You rumage all thru the box (again)...
no power cord.
You call AES on the phone...they don't answer. You leave a message.
They don't call back, or the next day either so you send an Email.
(Remember, this ain't no power cord you can buy at Radio Shack).
Three days later, no response. You've had your new radio for three days and
haven't played it yet (plus how many days you waited for UPS to deliver it).
Maybe a week later they respond to your Email and say, "we shipped it...
you lost it".
Finally, you get to speak with someone at AES and with an attitude they
tell you to call UPS with your problem. So, you call UPS and they tell
you they can't "can't resolve your issue"...contact the shipper.
About the 5th day you call HRO and order a power cord...$40 bucks.
Two days later it arrives.
Back to AES, now they refuse to even acknowledge your Emails, letters
and with caller ID they see your phone number and won't answer your
call.
I can just image where you'd be with this and I'm sure your story would
be posted on this forum.
But then, the best part...someone would reply, "it's just a power cord...
get over it !!"
The power...of a power cord.
(For those who would agree with the "get over it" part...this is not a
story about AES, HRO and or UPS).
