**SITUATION WAS HANDLED AND CABLE RECIEVED** On June 29, 2005 I agreed to purchase and Icom CI-V cable from WB7SWN, Jerry Griffin, of Duvall Washington. I sent the money order to him on July 1st of 2005. On July 6, I e-mailed Jerry to see if the money was recieved. I got no answer so on the 7th I gave him a call. He advised me that he was on vacation, which he never mentioned when settling on payment arrangements, and would be returning that weekend and the item would be mailed out. On Monday, July 11th I received e-mail from Jerry stating that the item would be mailed on the 12th.

Yesterday July 19, 2005, I both called and e-mailed Jerry questioning why I have not received the cable. I left a message on his phone when calling. I did not recieve e-mail back from him, nor did he return my call. I tried calling again this morning and got his answering machine again.

At this point I would have to say beware Mr. Griffin. It's been almost 3 weeks since payment was sent to him and nothing received.

Got emai this evening from Jerry. Says he was away on a bus trip and has shipped out another cable this evening. Provided USPS tracking number. Will advise when received. Says the other cable was shipped when he said and should have been easily received by now. I thought so too.

Thanks for the updated comments Jay - with over 400 of these sold I have had only two lost (or stolen) in the mail, both this summer.

This one would have to happen, of course, when I was away on a business trip for a few days.

You may get lucky and get two for the price of one!

I will post when item recieved. I will not take 2 for 1, if both of them arrive I will send one back to you. Still nothing in the mail today July 21.

I did as Jerry said receive the item on Monday, July 25, 2005. I have now had the opportunity to hook up the cable and test it. It works perfectly! To me a great alternative to other high priced CI-V cables out there.

I also believe that Jerry had best intentions in mind and that some glitch in the USPS postal system caused the delay in the first cable that was shipped. The second cable was shipped on the day I was advised and received in a timely manner.
