Scott A Davis

I just received a DSP-2232 TNC from Scott A Davis of Lubbock, TX (more on that later). It was represented as 100% (not), took one full month from the time he acknowledged receipt of the money before I received the TNC, and was very uncommunicative. The eBay id he used is harley9428 (yea - i know - don't buy from anyone that doesn't show his call). I would not buy from him again.
Interesting that there is NO Scott A Davis in Lubbock, TX in the FCC data base. There IS a Scott A Davis of Slayton, TX in the data base. The two addresses are less than ONE MILE apart, on the same road, per my copy of the mapping software.... HUMM! My what a coincidence
Since I do not know that these people(?) are the same person I will not post the full call for the Slayton Scott Davis (prefix is KA on a 5 call). Very interesting!
The TNC has a bad battery so it could not have been fun to use on a daily basis, does not have the latest firmware as advertised (doesn't have PACTOR - which is what I was buying it for) and is dented, dinged and scratched. It also shows that it has been near the ocean (rust where you would not expect).
As has been posted before do not buy from someone that doesn't show their call and FRIENDS DO NOT LET FRIENDS BUY from eBay!
