Scam Beware Joe Herreweyers N9EMC

On June 16th 2005 I responded to Joe Herreweyers ad “FS: a SA-2060A tuner”. His ad said the tuner "worked perfectly". Given I use a longwire antenna I immediately noticed that the tuner was defective. I discovered that the ceramic wafer switch was damaged (longwire contact was fried!). Joe’s response? “He did not use a longwire so he was unaware that the tuner was defective” I reminded him that his ad did say "working perfectly". Joe committed to pay for a new switch and "do the right thing". After locating a direct replacement switch, I asked him to forward the funds for the switch but payment was never received. If anyone lives in the North Chicago area and know how to get a hold of Joe please help! Beware!!! JOE HERREWEYERS N9EMC is not an honest HAM!!!
