i don't judge a person when all goes well. the true measure of a person is how well he does or does not "fix things" when things do not go as promised. al (w8alp) had an ft-1000d listed on qth. i was a bit dissappointed with the display. i received an estimate from burghardts to replace the display. i called al and suggested that we split the cost (including shipping) to replace the display. al said OK I WILL GET YOU A CHECK TOMORROW! TWO DAYS LATER A MONEY ORDER ARRIVED..... A MONEY ORDER!!!! AL COULD HAVE SENT A PERSONAL CHECK, HE ALSO COULD HAVE SAID IT'S AS IS SORRY......but no... al made it right. al is an honest man of his word. i would do business with him anytime anyplace. paul w8jn
