Let it be known that William (Bill) F Raney, W3WFR DOES NOT honor his commitment to his responsibilities to sell clean, undamaged equipment!!!! I recently purchased an Icom IC-718 from Bill, it was received in damaged condition. I took pictures of the damage and was expecting Bill to honor the costs of the repairs, etc. To my dis belief, He responded with "It's your radio!" I will not ever do any type of business with this person! Please be aware of this!

The radio was apparently damaged in shipping as indicated by the photos that you sent to me. I did not ship a damaged radio to you. The damage shown in the photos is very minor, in my opinion. How am I to know that you did not drop the radio taking it out of the box? My comment "it's your radio" may have been a bit flip, I apologize; however, it is no longer my responsibility. Maybe you should file a claim with the shipping company?

Filing a claim with the shipping company is the responsibility of the person shipping the goods, not the buyer. In fact the buyer cannot file a claim. IMO, anyone who “cops out” like this is an irresponsible seller and warrants not dealing with.
