Hello, WARNING to all fellow hams!!!

Do not deal with a person named PAUL JAMES from Spain, I recently put a post on the swap board looking for a Kenwood TW-4100A this individual replied saying he had one for sale, when asked for a picture, he sent me a picture of one for sale on ebay, and a second pictureof one I found on Google Images search, also his name was not the same as the call he was impersonating

The following is a cut and paste of an email I got from him, I wasn't fooled!

i donot have a paypal account.
but i have a Drving licence which i can use to recieve money
through Western union Money Transfer. I would prefer you send the
135USD via Western Union, as soon as i recieved payment the radio
will dispatch for delivery. My HAM callsign is EA5ELX
Below is the details for Western Union.
Recievers Name: Paul James
Receivers Address: Madrid, Spain
Text Question: Colour
Answer: Green.
amount expected: 135dollars
As soon as you send the money the Western union agency will
provide you with number called MTCN, send it to me as soon as the
payment is completed. i will ship the Kenwood TW-4100A

STAY AWAY!!! Thanks, Tom K8CNN

now for the second part of the scam..... after you refuse to send money, they typically come back with "ok i will trust you, just send half of the money, i will ship to you for your inspection. after you are satisfied, you can send the rest, i trust you". now.... we feel good, he is going to send me the rig at 1/2 and i will send him final payment after it arrives. the result??? you get conned out of $3000 instead of $6000.
beware... never send western union... never accept more than the asking price to send the overpayment western union....
happy hoss trading paul w8jn

Tell him you got a lot of US currency that you can't pass over here and that you'll ship him MORE than he's asking for by mail.

Then ship him a load of old newspaper cut to the size of our currency!

AND FOR THE BEST ONE: GET HIM TO TAKE A COLLECT FedEx SHIPMENT!
