Scammer Alert

Post by kd0dk »

I placed an add last week on QTH.Com looking to buy a Kent single lever paddle. I was contacted by someone claiming to be Joseph Koester W4NSA. I thought it was legitimate and to make a long story short, I am out $65.00 This individual claimed that he would need additional funds for shipping and also gas money to get to the Post Office. I spoke to the real Joseph Koester W4NSA on the phone yesterday and he assured me someone is using his name and call sign to rip people off. This person used the email address: josw4nsa@gmail.com. Beware!!

I received another message from this scam artist and he is now identifying himself as William Carter NY0Z and not Joseph Koester W4NSA. The alleged William Carter used email address: NY0Z@gmail.com. I guess he doesn't know who he is.
