AA5WA William Tischer -- beware!

Post by K1CC »

I purchased a Create RC5B3 rotator box from William Tischer AA5WA that was sold as "new" and paid him accordingly. He said bought it as a spare and said he had never used it. I received the rotor box with scratches, a screw on the terminal strip that was replaced with a different one, another missing screw in the back, a missing plastic terminal strip cover and a very yellowed label underneath with the wire colors he had connected to each terminal. Upon calling him (thinking that perhaps he had packed the wrong control box) he insisted that the box was never used, the label was there to so "I would know which wire to connect".

I would be very cautious with any dealings with Mrs. Tischer AA5WA, I think he is quitting ham radio as he's selling all his equipment and is obvoiusly not a person to be trusted in any transactions. His e-mail address is wtisch@centurytel.net. The ad was posted by Mike Rowland K5TDF who lives in the same town as William Tischer.
