N4CTR James Rich - GOOD GUY

Post by W5JMN »

I had a very pleasant transaction with James. He responded to all of my questions, and gave straight-up honest answers and description of the equipment. His no-questions-asked return policy was refreshing and in this case completely unneeded. I would be very happy to deal with James again. Thank you, James.

Add my 100% agreement! Just met James yesterday. I bought a Glen Martin roof tower, bearing, antenna, rotator, control and cable from him. He was kind enough to throw it all in his truck on a business trip up 95 and meet me in Connecticut, saving me a ton of shipping $$$. Gear in great shape, as good or better than described. But here's the real telling part about his integrity, at least from my perspective. After we did introductions, he got all serious and told me he had one issue that he felt terrible about because he'd misrepresented something. Then he said, "Remember I told you there was about 100' of rotator control cable? I'm really sorry because it turned out to only be 90'." And he was sincerely concerned that he got it wrong. That said a lot to me. I know if he hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have given it a second thought - 90 is well within the "about a hundred" range. The fact he brought it up spoke volumes about the guy's character! Based on this transaction, personally I wouldn't hesitate a second buying anything from James sight-unseen in the future.
