BEWARE of w3ddh@outlook.com Scammer; Took My $$$$ and Ran

Post by kg3i »

Greetings fellow hams,

Just want to make the ham community aware of a fellow out there to avoid dealing with. His email is w3ddh@outlook.com and he was pretending to be W3DDH.

He responded to a post I made when I was looking for a Kenwood BP-8 Pan Adapter for a SM-220 Monitor Scope. He said he had one in "excellent condition" with all the cables, etc. $140.00 shipped. So we arranged payment using Zelle (won't do that again either). That was on May 28th, 2025.

Many days past and didn't hear nothing. When I tried to contact him I only got single word emails back; nothing specific. Then last week he finally said he was going to ship but he never did. Then he wanted an additional 50 bucks to ship a small unit across the state of PA.

I finally told him to either ship the unit or refund the money (BTW, his Zelle account was shut down). His excuse now was he was low on money.

Earlier today I contact Law Enforcement in Clarion County and they agreed to look into the situation and also refer it to the Pa State Police Fraud folks.

I purchased and sold a lot of things over the years and never had a problem till now. DON'T BUY ANYTHING OR SELL ANYTHING TO THIS GUY. HE CAN'T BE TRUSTED!
