Beware of someone claiming to be KD8OTT

I was almost taken in a Scammer operation. I had an ad for a WTB Kenwood TS 950SD and someone answered my ad claiming they were KD8OTT Bryon Thornton. They sent me pictures of a TS 950SD even showing the Serial Number. I asked him to call me, and the phone number was a California number and the QRZ address for KD8OTT was in Michigan. He kind of stuttered a little and made some excuse about the California phone number The price was fair but when I attempted to send money, my bank FLAGGED Them and called me to warn me that that email address was flagged by Zelle as a scam artist. I kept emails up and played along and here is what the final email said when I refused to Zelle the money to them (after several emails before this one:)
He quit emailing me and a supposed female person (WIFE) started emailing me saying he had an automobile accident (still trying to get me to Zelle money to her.)

All I ask sir is some assistance with this, Bryon almost lost his life trying to get this done and all you can say is you had a deal with him and due to unexpected circumstances he's yet to get it fixed. Did you for once stop to think about it what if things go the other way and I lost my husband, you think it be cool when you say this. Don't you have a heart or feel anything, if this was a member of your family would you be saying this and feel its pretty cool. Im sorry but if that's how you do want to put it fine, but I know my husband is a fighter and would get through until then. This was after she claimed he had a car wreck and was in the hospital and asked me to Zelle her some money.
There is no email address for KD8OTT on QRZ so I have no way to verify that it was not actually him (though I doubt it was!)

So, be careful! You too could be their next scam person or Victim!
